Serious news this morning as a 26-year-old policewoman was assaulted by a Frankston woman refusing to wear a mask, and is currently recovering in hospital with a concussion.
“A 26-year-old policewoman was on patrol with another partner down in the Frankston area, near Bayside shopping centre. During that time, they approached a 38-year-old woman who wasn’t wearing a mask. After a confrontation and being assaulted by that woman, those police officers went to ground and there was a scuffle. This 38-year-old woman smashed the head of the policewoman several times into a concrete area on the ground,” Shane Patton Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police described the incident in this mornings press conference.
Today Frankston hit the number 1 trending spot on Twitter, as people Tweeted with outrage toward the situation.
Frankston women basically tried to kill a policewoman because she didn't want to wear a mask.
Throw the fucking book at her.#auspol

With the reputation Frankston has, there was always going to be a reaction from the public – painting the town in a bad light.
Mostly in a light-hearted manner.
Frankston? You must never go there Simba!

Three guarantees in life: death, taxes and whenever Frankston is trending, it’s never ever good

But it’s not all bad.
Frankston gets a poor wrap, but those who live there know that there are plenty of advantages of the “Gateway to the Peninsula”
#frankston is a beautiful suburb by the bay in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and is the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula.
We are kind, friendly, and hard-working.
